This course is aimed at service providers who are looking to assess and improve their organisation’s competence working with LGB&T people.
It provides practical suggestions to assess your organisation’s current position and produce strategic development plans around LGB&T issues including supporting ongoing staff development.

- Background to the Equality Act 2010 and the Gender Recognition Act 2004
- Explores and explains your organisations’ responsibilities as a publicly-funded service
- Offers practical support on how to demonstrate how your organisation has met its requirements under the Public Sector Equality Duties in respect to having ‘due regard’ to sexual orientation and gender reassignment
