Developing an LGBT Support Strategy
This course is aimed at service providers who are looking to assess and improve their organisation’s competence working with LGBT people.
It provides practical suggestions to assess your organisation’s current position and produce strategic development plans around LGBT issues including supporting ongoing staff development.
WHAT THE COURSE COVERS
- Background to the Equality Act 2010 and the Gender Recognition Act 2004
- Explores and explains responsibilities of your organisation as a publicly-funded service
- Offers practical support on how to demonstrate how your organisation has met its requirements under the Public Sector Equality Duties in respect to having ‘due regard’ to sexual orientation and gender reassignment
