Chemcheck
Chemcheck is a 6-week group programme for men who want to make changes around chemsex.
Who is it for?
Chemcheck is for men 18+ who identify as gay, bi, trans or MSM (men who have sex with men). The group is aimed at people looking at how they can take steps to either ensure greater control over their use, or trial a period of non-use, and for those who would like to explore some of those issues which could potentially lead to more problematic use.
What does it involve?
Chemcheck is designed specifically to help you address questions, concerns or possible issues around your Chem use in a friendly, safe non-judgemental environment.
During Chemcheck you will have the opportunity to explore various themes such as:
- Making Changes
- Self-Esteem
- Sex & Relationships
- Building Boundaries
- App use
- Dealing with Triggers & Cravings
- Managing Unsafe Situations
- Relapse prevention
Referral Criteria
You are welcome to self-refer or we can accept referrals from your keyworker or other professionals who may be involved in your care. Chemcheck is a group programme and may not be suitable for everybody. We are looking for clients who are thinking about or are open to exploring change. You might have already made some changes to your chem use and would like some further support.
To ensure that you get the most out of the programme you should commit to all 6 sessions.
