This course will cover the basics of LGBT awareness, examining how society’s view of LGBT people impacts on the health & wellbeing of individuals and how this can influence our views as professionals working with LGBT service users. You’ll find out more about the health inequalities experienced by LGBT people and how issues such as LGBT hate crime affects health and wellbeing. You’ll also be able to reflect on your own practice, and that of your service, to achieve improved health outcomes for LGBT people.
