London Chemsex Network<\/span><\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

The London Chemsex Network is an informal group for healthcare professionals to discuss issues around treatment and support for chemsex.<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

The London Chemsex Network is primarily aimed at London\u2019s Drug Treatment Agencies. Membership is also encouraged from those working on drug treatment and\/or sexual health policy and commissioners of drug treatment and\/or sexual health services. Other stakeholder interest may include other healthcare professionals; sexual health practitioners; VCSE organisations, criminal justice system, etc.<\/p>\n

Membership is an informal process: those interested may join the mailing list here<\/a>. Network meetings will be advertised to members with a public process to register attendance.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All members are invited to contribute to the development of the Network e.g. suggesting topics or guest speakers.<\/p>\n

Background<\/h3>\n

In early January 2017 London Friend invited representatives of London-based drug treatment services to a scoping meeting with a view to establishing a Chemsex Network across agencies. Chemsex has become an increasingly prevalent issue amongst gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (MSM) leading to presentations at GUM and drug services. The initial thinking for a Network was prompted by the European Chemsex Forum, a three day conference and training event hosted in London in April 2016. London Friend is working together with the AfterParty London<\/a> service, to develop the Network. In 2017 the Network\u2019s development has been supported by a small grant from Wandsworth Oasis<\/a>.<\/p>\n
