Funders and supporters

London Friend works with a wide range of organisations within the public and private sectors to help achieve our mission of improving the lives of LGB&T people. Our current partners and funders include:

 

  • The Henry Smith Charity supports the delivery of our Antidote programme from 2018 - 2021 and has previously supported the development of our SWAP programme.

 

  • Lloyds Bank Foundation help fund our volunteering programme for Antidote, our LGBT drug & alcohol service.

 

  • The Leathersellers' Charitable Fund is supporting our Antidote programme from 2018 - 2022.

 

  • The RISE Partnership delivers HIV prevention interventions funded by Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham. The partnership is led by Naz Project, with Race Equality Foundation, GMFA and London Friend.

 

  • SASH (Support & Advice on Sexual Health) is the community sexual health partnership funded by the Tri-Borough area (Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, and Hammersmith & Fulham). The partnership is led by Turning Point, along with Naz Project, Metro and London Friend, where we are the LGBT lead.

 

  • The London LGBT Domestic Abuse Partnership is a specialist network of LGBT organisations providing support to LGBT people who have experienced domestic abuse. The Partnership is led by Galop, with Stonewall Housing, Switchboard and London Friend, where we provide a specialist LGBT domestic abuse counselling service. The Partnership is funded by London Councils.

 

  • The London Community Foundation is funding a one-year programme of work to develop our support for lesbian, bisexual and trans women during 2019.

 

  • The Mrs Smith and Mount Trust is supporting our counselling service, contributing to key core costs such as clinical supervision.

 

  • HIV Prevention England is the national HIV prevention campaign funded by Public Health England and managed by Terrence Higgins Trust. As a local delivery partner we provide awareness and brief interventions to promote behavioural change around HIV prevention and drug use.

 

  • The Government Equalities Office is funding a programme of LGBT health interventions aimed to increase and improve access to mental health support. This programme is delivered in partnership with ELOP and HERO.

 

  • The National LGB&T Partnership – London Friend is a founding member of the National LGB&T Partnership. This enables those working within the LGB&T community to speak with one stronger voice to organisations such as the Department of Health, NHS England and Public Health England.   • The Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest trusts in London and offers a wide range of health and social care services across 10 boroughs. We are partners in the Club Drug Clinic .

 

  • The Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust is the Trust which provides the 56 Dean Street sexual health clinic. In partnership we run Code Clinic, targeting men who use drugs for sex. It's also the base for cliniQ, our trans sexual health and well-being partnership.
